Thirds

Ararat's first entry into the Wimmera Under 16 competition was in 1962-63 when a composite team was formed from the local Sunday Under 16 competition. It wasn't until 1978 that Ararat had an official Thirds team. This lasted until 1984 when Ararat pulled out of the competition after one game because not all clubs had Thirds teams which caused too many byes. The team was re-entered in the Wimmera U/17 competition in 1994 only to see it pull out during 1995 because of lack of players. The team was re-entered in 1996 to the U/171/2 competition, which changed back to U/17 in 1998.
